Screen Security Ltd has been designing CCTV and Integrated Systems for over 35 years.

Our expertise in the security sector is second to none. We have experience in designing and installing high quality systems from a single camera system to multiple camera systems incorporating hundreds of cameras. We install the very latest in CCTV technology and are constantly reviewing and researching new CCTV products to ensure that Screen Security Ltd stays at the front of cutting-edge CCTV product technology.

Screen Security Ltd also provides Remote CCTV Monitoring Systems facilities, whereby live images from the CCTV systems can be transmitted and viewed via a Local Area Network, Wide Area Network or Web-Based Network over the globe.

The facility to remotely access a site to view video images following alarm activation by a monitoring station offers enormous benefits whereby time is saved in not having to physically attend site to verify if the activation is genuine or false, and immediately alert the police authorities accordingly.

Whatever the situation, we can offer our clients the ideal solution to their CCTV requirements. With depth of technical expertise and commitment to full 24-hour back-up customer service, Screen Security Ltd has earned the enviable reputation for providing the highest quality CCTV systems

Our system uses a hard disc and the images are “etched” onto the disc, allowing the following advantages.

  • No quality loss in replay
  • On one unit we can record up to 30 day’s continuous recording, and can then be stored or allowed to continue recording by overwriting. This means that once the space on the disc is used up , after say 30 days, day 31 overwrites on day 1 and day 32 replaces day 2 etc.
  • The images can be viewed remotely. Once a broadband telephone line is available, an access code can be used by the system controller which allows them to connect into the system from an external site, and either view live or recorder events (without affecting current recording).
  • Recorded images can be instantly accessed by simply calling up a time and date on the remote keyboard or software installed on a PC.
  • The system can be set to record on motion activation. This means that no disc space is wasted by recording still objects and only starts to record when motion is seen.

There are numerous other advantages to this technology, and as systems are modular, you can have a system which will do everything from the basic recording only, right through to the most advanced functions.

Choosing a NVR first involves deciding what information you want from each of your cameras. Is a camera’s purpose that of monitoring, detection, recognition or identification as per Rotakin standards. This determines the camera specification, the lens to be used, the position of the camera and the recording resolution/frame rate.

Once this has been determined for each of your cameras you can work out the overall frame rate requirements of the DVR and how much storage you will need based on:

  • The file size for each camera achievable with the required video resolution of the network video recorder
  • The frame rates you have chosen for your cameras to record at
  • The estimated level of motion (as a percentage) you expect at each of the cameras
  • The recording can now be used to calculate how much storage you’ll need for the required recording time.

A CCTV can form an integral part of a buildings overall security requirements, they can also be integrated with other security system, using security integration management system, utilising inputs from other systems such as Intruder alarm, Access Control and Fire Alarm systems with building/site maps indicating inputs and door status.
